Ingredients:
1 ball of pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
About 1 cup of pizza sauce (homemade or store-bought)
About 30 slices of pepperoni, medium thickness
2 ½ cups of grated mozzarella or cheddar cheese
Steps:
Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
On a floured surface, using a rolling pin, roll out the pizza dough into a very large rectangle about ½ cm (¼ inch) thick.
Spread enough pizza sauce to completely cover the dough rectangle with a thin layer of sauce, leaving a border without sauce to the right completely of the rectangle.
Layer pepperoni slices in 3 rows, overlapping each slice slightly. Cover with shredded cheese, distributing evenly over the top.
Starting from the left side (the long side parallel to the pepperoni rows) roll the dough as tightly as possible into a long roll. Pinch the dough at the seam of the roll to close it as much as possible.
Using a sharp knife, cut the roll into slices about 3 cm (1 ½ inch) thick. Place on the baking sheet, laying the slices down.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the dough and cheese is golden brown.
Remove from oven, cool for 5 minutes, and serve with hot pizza sauce (if desired).
